COVAD-19 Virus

Governor Northam has given dental offices the green light to open starting the first of May.  Our plan is to open our pediatric and adult offices this coming Monday May 4. As dental professionals we are aware of the importance of dental health to overall physical well-being and believe we have an ethical responsibility to care for our patients. So we are very glad to begin caring for our community once again.

Just the same we feel we have an obligation to offer patient care in a safe, infection-free environment. Our office has always given the utmost attention to infection control and now is no different.  We have been closely monitoring the guidance on keeping patients and staff safe from the American and Virginia Dental Associations, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Virginia Department of Health, and the CDC .

Upon opening we will put in place additional measures to ensure your safety during the current pandemic. Due to these procedures you will find we are limiting your time in the office. You will need to wait outside the office before your appointment, answer health screens, and have your temperature taken. We have removed all  toys, books, magazines, pamphlets, and pens. We will also ask you to limit contact and keep social distance from staff. We are limiting who can accompany patients in the office. You will notice that our staff will be using additional protective equipment.  We ask for your understanding. Remember these measures are for your safety!

  • We will send you a wellness-check form the day before your visit. Please fill out and return promptly.
  • We will ask these same questions again when you arrive at the office.
  • Upon arrival at building patients should call or text the office from their car or when outside the building. We will notify you when we are ready to see you.
  • All Patients must wear masks to be admitted into the office. Home-made masks are ok.
  • We will take your temperature when you enter our office.
  • Patients must use hand sanitizer upon entry into the office
  • Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, coffee, childrens toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Patients should practice social distancing when in the office (6 feet)
  • Children must remain in control of parents at all times.
  • Please bring your own pen to sign and necessary documents.
  • Please brush your teeth before your visit.
  • Children less than 12 years of age may be accompanied by ONLY one parent or responsible party. No other family members or friends will be allowed into the office (no infants accompanying parent unless infant is patient being treated).
  • Multiple members of family with adjacent appointments may be scheduled at the same time or one appointment after the other. For the latter case the parent must wait with the child not being seen outside of the office.
  • Patients who are minors: We ask that accompanying adult wait outside the office. We will inform you of any treatment decisions by cell phone.
  • We ask that you complete patient registration & health forms before your visit.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the above steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Thank you,
