Lead Dental Assistant/OSHA Coordinator
Elizabeth was born in Lima, Peru, and attended Northern Virginia Community College for her dental education. She has been working for Arlington Pediatric Dentistry for over 10 years. She is certified in both CPR and X-rays. Among her continuing education courses, she counts a dental radiation seminar, the Atlanta Hinman meeting, multiple OSHA training courses, a dental coding course, as well as courses taught on diseases of the teeth and jaw, dental care for infants, and how to treat patients with autism in a dental setting.
Elizabeth loves learning about different cultures and their languages – perhaps this is the key to the special knack she has to easily communicate with all our patients. She loves dentistry because she truly loves giving children a healthy smile. Her favorite part about working at APD is the opportunity to work with children. Over the years, she has developed the confidence and connection needed to work with kids! Elizabeth is fluent in Spanish.
Ninoska or Nino as she likes to be called hails from Cochabamba, Bolivia, where she earned her degree as a surgeon/dentist from the Universidad Mayor de San Simon. She has been with Arlington Pediatric Dentistry for over 10 years. Nino is certified in CPR and OSHA guidelines. She has also completed many additional training courses at Northern Virginia Community College, including dental care for infants, how to treat patients with autism in a dental setting, nitrous oxide administration for children, dental radiation safety, and pit and fissure sealants.
Nino speaks English and Spanish, which helps her provide all of our patients with beautiful smiles. At APD, she likes the environment and working with the kids. She enjoys helping them overcome their fear, and the infants (ages 3-5 years) are her favorite patients! When a child comes into the office crying or afraid, Nino explains the procedure and comforts the patient. When that child leaves the room with a smile, and sometimes a big hug, that makes Nino’s day!

Monica loves dressing up for the kids and is a perennial winner of the office Halloween costume contest.
When she’s not working, Monica loves to spend time with her husband and two sons and reading. Her favorite author is Paulo Coelho. Monica is fluent in Spanish.
